 Each of us prefers a certain sport, some of them are very familiar and popular such as football, basketball, and tennis, and some are strange and unknown to all people, below in this report we review the strangest sports in the world.

Sepak takraw or volleyball kick sport is a sport that has emerged in Southeast Asia and is popular in Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia


It is a volleyball–like sport called football, where a small ball made of rattan (qalmosiya-bronchial palm) is used for players to kick and send it to the opposing team's field through the use of the foot, knee, chest, and head, and therefore it has great excitement because it also uses many technical glimpses of football.

There is this exotic sport in Austria with the snowboarding season, because the people of Austria do not get snow, they invented a strange kind of sport, which is rock skiing, an alternative to ice, and competitions are held together starting in December every year.

Netball is a team sport derived from basketball, formerly known as" women's basketball", this sport is notable as a women's sport (to play and watch) in its native Australia and New Zealand, and is also popular in Jamaica, South Africa, Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom, and other Commonwealth countries.


The game consists of two teams of seven players. The two main differences between basketball and netball are that in netball players are not allowed to bounce the ball, and in netball players are not allowed to walk with it. That is, the player who gets the ball must pass it or goal.


The main laws of the game


When a player releases the ball but fails without scoring a goal or touching the ball in the throat, the player has the right to touch the ball again only after another player takes it or the ball bounces alone on the ground.


  • It is allowed to hold the ball for only three seconds.
  • Walking with the ball is not allowed.
  • In the case of Defense, players must stand three feet away from the ball carrier.
  • It is not allowed to bounce the ball with the same player and catch it again (as in basketball).
  • A player is not allowed to have direct contact with another player.
  • Players are not allowed to leave their positions on the court.
  • The column is not allowed to be used on the field in scoring or in defense.


International competitions


There are five international teams for this sport: Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, and Jamaica. There is an international tournament called the world netball championship, which has been held 11 times since 1963, the Australian national team has taken first place in eight of them.


It will also be held in Fiji in 2007 and 2011, and this sport has been held at the Commonwealth Games since then 1998. in addition, there are local leagues for this sport in New Zealand, Australia, and England.
