Biden says the Supreme Court is "out of control" and urges people to vote for congressmen who support abortion.

President Joe Biden on Friday blasted the US Supreme Court's "terrible and radical" decision, pointing out that federal legislation is the quickest way to restore women's right to abortion and urging citizens to elect lawmakers who support this right in the forthcoming elections.

To give the Democrats the majority they currently lack in Congress, Biden indicated that the midterm elections in November would be the most effective course of action. The quickest way to resurrect RO is to pass a national law governing it; as soon as it reaches my office, I'll sign it. We are impatient, "referencing the Roe v. Wade decision from 1973, which secured the right to an abortion

Our freedoms and our sense of independence cannot be taken away by an out-of-control Supreme Court that collaborates with radical sections of the Republican Party, the speaker stated.

Biden signed an executive order outlining novel but modest steps to advance women's reproductive rights in response to pressure to adopt a harsher stance. Within his own Democratic Party, Biden has come under fire for his silence in the wake of the June 24 Supreme Court decision

Following the court's ruling, several states outlawed or severely restricted abortion, and more states are anticipated to do the same. Unnamed Democratic officials grumbled that Biden and his team had not effectively addressed the Supreme Court's unexpected decision. Despite the draft having been leaked weeks earlier, the administration appeared shocked on the day of the judgment.

Two sets of regulatory measures

On June 24, the president announced two sets of regulatory changes: the first on the availability of abortion pills and the second on women's freedom to travel to another state to get an abortion if their state forbids it. On the day of the judgment, however, White House spokesperson Karen Jean-Pierre made a remarkable decision and canceled her regularly scheduled press conference. Shortly after, Biden left for a European tour, disappointing lawmakers and abortion rights advocates who wanted the president to act with greater vigor.

Biden issued an executive order on Friday to "combat digital surveillance connected to reproductive health care services" and to secure sensitive information about women's health to rectify the situation. The risks posed by women's online data, such as geolocation and apps that track menstrual cycles, are being highlighted by pro-abortion organizations. These data, according to these organizations, could be used to track women who have had abortions.

The goal of Biden's order is to safeguard the several mobile clinics that are strewn along the edges of states with abortion restrictions. The government, according to the White House, also wants to guarantee access to contraceptives and medications for abortions and establish a network of volunteer attorneys to assist women in abortion cases.

An outdated man

However, the effectiveness of these policies will be constrained because Biden lacks a sizable congressional majority and thus has few options when dealing with the Supreme Court or adversarial states. Biden, therefore, urged American citizens to cast their ballots for Democrats in record numbers in the upcoming midterm elections. The intention is to make the right to an abortion a federally regulated right, overriding any state restrictions on the operation. But many Democrats worry that the campaign won't motivate voters because Biden is now unpopular and inflation is the main problem plaguing Americans right now

Beyond abortion, several Democrats doubt that the 79-year-old Biden can confront the American extreme right in a time of heightened partisanship. He only needs to look at recent newspaper editorials, particularly those written by media outlets that are thought to be sympathetic. Is Joe Biden the incorrect president for the incorrect period? was the title of a Thursday article in The Washington Post. Is Biden an outdated individual? asked the Atlantic magazine
